Lan Kwai Fong Hotel @ Kau U Fong

Planned a 5D4N trip with the GF to Hong Kong for our Christmas. After searching for hotels for almost a week, we've decided to stay at Lan Kwai Fong Hotel @ Kau U Fong.

Though the rooms was small but it is well decorated with oriental decorations which offers guest with a touch of Asian hospitality.

For those who likes to have some night out drinking & hanging out with friends, then this is the place to stay as it is about 10 minutes away from the famous Lan Kwai Fong & SOHO that offers a varieties of bars & restaurants. It is also near to Central where all the luxury shopping center are located.

For those who are more interested in sightseeing, food hunting or going to the street markets, then it is not advisable to stay here as it will take you quite some time to get to the old Hong Kong.

Complimentary fruits for our stay. But all I've ate was the bananas. Haha

Grand Palace @ Pavilion

Went to Grand Palace @ Pavilion to have dinner with the family and for some reason, that I don't know why, I've forgot to take a picture of the menu nor the restaurant signboard. Anyway, back to the food.

Roast pork belly, roast duck thighs & BBQ roast pork with honey sauce. All three of these meat dishes is really tender and the pork belly skin is crispy.

Hot & sour soup in sichuan style. Taste is well balance and its not too hot nor sour. Just add a dash of vinegar and it's perfect.

A healthy double boiled whole yellow melon soup with mixed meat daily soup.

Four Angle.

Salted egg crab. Crabs are too small & not really much meat too. It's quite disappointing to be honest as the crab is freshly imported from Australia.

Sauteed petola with dried prawn & salted egg yolk. Taste is too light & can't really taste the salted egg yolk. But I think this dish will taste better if they use fresh prawns instead of dried prawns.

Braised Hakka style stuffed bean curd.

Chinese herb pudding.

Double boiled hasma with lotus seed.

Peanut & sesame dumpling.

Almond cream.

Mango Pudding.

Chilled avocado & aloe vera sago.
