Palate cleanser

Wa Zen Japanese Restaurant

Miso Soup

Ikura Chawan Mushi - Steamed egg custard with fish roe. The egg custard is really smooth and every bite you take you can feel the egg roe popped in your mouth.

Shake Belly Sashimi

Horenso Ohitashi - Boiled spinach with light soy sauce. Though it's light soy sauce, but it's really saltish. Think they mixed up the soy sauce. Haha. But the overall of this dish is not bad.

Chuka Karaage

Soft Shell Crab Sarada. This salad is tossed with Wa Zen's secret salad sauce topped with deep fried soft shell crab.

Salmon Skin & Unagi Temaki.

Zen Maki - Reversed rice roll filled with cucumber, deep fried salmon skin and topped with freshly sliced raw salmon and Japanese carviar.

Soft Kani Karaage. This deep fried soft shell crab is not as crunchy as the one with the salad. But the overall taste is still acceptable. But I usually tossed it in with the salad. Haha

Buta Enoki Maki - Grilled sliced pork rolled with golden mushroom. This is not one of the dish I've enjoy as it's too saltish.

Katsu Karei Rice - Rice topped with Japanese curry and deep fried pork belly.

Yuzu Shabetto (Japanese Citrus Shebert).
